ART GALLERY 11 COLUMBIA
Founded in 2003 in Monaco, 11 Columbia gallery presents exhibitions of contemporary art and design under the direction of Delphine Pastor Reiss.
Painting, sculpture, drawing and photography confront the viewer and offer a broad spectrum of contemporary creation with a special place reserved for modern and contemporary design.
Over the years, 11 Columbia has developed close ties with some international galleries she invites to exhibit and with which she shares the same affinities, such as Air de Paris, François Laffanour and Galerie Kreo in Paris, Gate 5 in Monaco, Esther Schipper in Berlin, or Galleria O and Franco Noero in Italy.
Today after fifteen years of presence, 11 Columbia continues with the same enthusiasm to defend contemporary art and to propose a program of international stature.
11 Columbia gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of recent works by Pierre Le Tan.Born in 1950, Pierre Le-Tan is a painter and draftsman.
His drawings have been published in numerous magazines, including the prestigious New Yorker, at the age of nineteen and appeared on film sets, notably in Quadrille by Valérie Lemercier. Pierre Le-Tan also illustrated covers of one hundred books, led in a long-term collaboration with Patrick Modiano. Pierre Le-Tan has always been living with images, as his father, Lê Phô, Vietnamese painter who established himself in Paris before World War II.
The exhibition will present a number of recent drawings, the installation Intérieur de fantaisie deploying a drawing which creates a mise en abyme into space and plays with the idea of frame, mysterious old wooden measuring objects and a real frame with a set of drawings in the drawing. A metaphysical fantasy.
